What do the Knights of Columbus Support?

The Pope, The worldwide Church, Priests, Brothers, Sisters and promotion of all religious vocations.

Family, the foundation of our Society.

Life, in all of its forms, from conception through natural death.

The disabled, the elderly, the poor, the despondent, and those who have nowhere else to go.

What local projects are we involved in?

The Bozeman Council of the Knights of Columbus supports projects on the local, state, and national level through the donation of our collective and individual time and talent, as well as our various fund raising events. Some examples of the things we support are as follows.

Seminarian Formation - Knights voluntarily contribute funds (through proceeds derived from social events and various fund raisers) that support Diocesan Seminarians while they complete their education.

Support of our Community: We contribute time, funds and well wishes to social causes, including: Eagle Mount, Bobcat Outreach, Bozeman Nursing Homes, Gallatin Valley Food Bank, Blood Drives, and Montana Special Olympics, along with visits to the homebound and patients of Bozeman Deaconess Hospital.

Support for Family Values: We promote strong family values through our sponsorship of the annual Knights of Columbus Basketball Free-Throw contest which encourages sportsmanship, athletic skill and youth fellowship. In addition to youth events, the Knights promote family through their support and coordination of our annual parish picnics for Holy Rosary and Resurrection Parishes, frequent breakfasts and dinners, and family-based celebrations.

We serve our Church in a variety of ministries, including: Alter Servers, Accolytes, Greeters, Ushers, Eucharistic Ministers, Lecturers, Religious Education teachers, Parish Council members, Finance Committee members and Trustees, Service and funds to the FOCUS college group of students, Suport of the Poor Claire Sisters of Montana, Support worldwide poverty efforts, Tsunami and Earthquake disaster relief and World Youth Day funds to outbound teens.
